2010 marks the centenary of the Federation of the six towns of Stoke-on-Trent (1910-2010). The mug has been specially designed with this in mind. I have tried to incorporate the industries of that era, sadly most are now gone. The picture was designed by a local artist Margaret Donnellan, who painted the pattern to scale, this shows what talent she has. The tankards are made by a local manufacturer who specialises in creamwear, named Leeds Pottery Ltd (Longton), they have been producing ceramics for over 100 years. Also, the transfers were printed by Finsbury China Ltd (Fenton). I felt it important to celebrate the Federation by using local firms and talent. Remember, only 100 ever made. I'm sure you would agree they are very original.
